The Swiss Security Network is a central element of the 2010 Security Policy Report of the Federal Council. Confederation and cantons have agreed on consolidating the security policy issues together. They are equally represented in the bodies of the Swiss Security Network.

National Action Plan to Prevent and Counter Radicalisation and Violent Extremism 2023-2027

The Second National Action Plan to Prevent and Counter Radicalisation and Violent Extremism was developed under the leadership of the Swiss Security Network with authorities from all levels of government and experts from academia and civil society. It comes into effect in 2023 and will be implemented within five years. The Federal Council was informed about the new measures contained in this action plan at its meeting on 16 December 2022.
